How to Make a Smoothie Bowl
These quick and easy smoothie bowl recipes will add fun, fibre and flax to your breakfast or snack routine!
Bright colors and flavours of a smoothie combined with the different textures of the toppings are sure to be a hit. And they are easily customized to suit individual taste and dietary needs. How to make our Flax and Oat-Berry Purple Smoothie Bowl in 4 simple steps:

Step 1: Gather the ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) mixed blueberries and blackberries
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ground flaxseed 
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup (175 mL) vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) pomegranate juice

Step 2: Gather the equipment

  • blender
  • two bowls
  • two spoons

Step 3: Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Step 4: Divide smoothie into two bowls and add your favourite toppings.  For this smoothie bowl we divided the following yummy ingredients between the two bowls.

  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) granola
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) mixed berries (kiwi in picture)
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ground flaxseed
